Dining Room Refresh With The Hues

Come refresh the cottage dining room for spring with brand new luxury curtains from The Hues!

Dining Room Curtains

When we first moved into the Acorn Hill Home back in 2020 we needed window treatments for the windows in the dining room…so we went with a cost effective option–the Ikea Ritva curtains. While I love the Ikea Ritva curtains they did not hold a pinch pleat, and I really wanted pleated curtains around the entire home for that luxurious and elevated feel.

When The Hues reached out to me wanting to collaborate for a spring refresh, I jumped at the chance! The Hues offers high end curtains for affordable prices and I knew these treatments would be perfect for my dining room, not to mention they have a ton of collections to choose from!

The Hues was lovely to work with and I could not recommend them more! Their customer service is top tier and these curtains arrived in perfect condition in a timely manner. These curtains are so luxurious, I already have friends and family asking where I got them! They are the perfect addition to the living room and the perfect refresh for spring!

Dining Room Curtain Details

The curtains that I selected from The Hues are the Zoe linen look soft custom curtain. I narrowed it down between the Ivory White and the Silver White and ordered swatches of each to ensure I selected the right color for my space.

The Silver White felt too cool toned for my dining room, so I went with the Ivory White which is a beigey-taupe color that is absolutely beautiful. If you are on the fence I highly recommend ordering swatches! The Ivory white is more of a beige-taupe than a true white, the perfect color for my space!

I selected the double french pinch pleat which is a beautiful classic style that is timeless! I chose to have the curtains memory trained so that the pleats were seamless and effortless compared to the last curtains I had, and I am glad that I did! These curtains have such a beautiful natural pleat to them, it’s what I have always wanted in this room!

The hooks that come with these curtains allow you to seamlessly choose the height you want to hang your curtains! While the curtains are a custom length they are flexible from room to room with these back hooks that allow for a wide range of hanging heights.

When it came to choosing the backing I knew I wanted some type of blackout lining since this room gets a ton of natural sunlight streaming in. During the summer months this room can get very warm and I like to keep the curtains closed to keep the house a little cooler. My last curtains were a magnet for cat hair so I chose the thick satin finish lining which allows for a much easier clean up of cat hair!

One of my favorite things are these high end tie-backs. These are unlike any other tie backs I have seen before and they are so luxurious!

See below for the specific details for my curtains:

  • Zoe Ivory White
  • Linen Look Soft Custom Curtain
  • Double french pinch pleat
  • One panel for each side of the window (2 panels)
  • Thick satin finish lining
  • 89″ tall panels x 40″ wide
  • Matching tie back
  • Black hanging eyelet rings for both sides (diameter 1.5 inch)

These are heavy curtains that feel very high end and very luxurious!
